Svetlana Andreeva was born in Dzhankoy, a small city on the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine. A few years later, she moved with her family to Russia and began learning music at the age of four under Olga Dolzhenko at the Azov Music School. At 11, she decided to pursue a professional music career and continued her studies at the Lyceum of Rostov Rachmaninov Conservatory, specializing in both piano and composition.
Since then, she has successfully performed solo and with orchestras in various cities and countries. At the age of fifteen, Svetlana enrolled in the Central Music School of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, studying under Andrey Limaev, Natalia Trull (piano), and Leonid Bobylev (composition). After graduating from the Central Music School, she continued her studies at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she studied piano and composition with the same professors.
In 2011, Svetlana won her first Grand Prix at the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition in Vienna. Over the next years, she earned prizes in various prestigious international piano competitions, including the Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, the Scottish International Piano Competition in Glasgow, the Southern Highland International Piano Competition in Australia, International Piano Competition in Campillos, Spain, the International Piano Competition H. R. H. Princess Lalla Meryem in Morocco and the Scriabin International Piano Competition in Moscow.
She graduated with excellence from the Moscow Conservatory in 2012 and has been residing in Germany since 2014. In recent years, Svetlana has studied with Professor Stefan Arnold at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
In 2022-2023, she recorded the album ‘Synesthesia,’ featuring piano works by the French composer Christian Schittenhelm, and presented the world premiere recording of the ‘Air‘ Piano Concerto by the same composer with The Royal Scottish National Orchestra under Sergey Neller.
In November 2024, Svetlana won the 16th Orléans International Piano Competition, receiving the First Prize from the ORCOM Foundation, as well as the Edison Denisov Prize, the Blanche Selva Scholarship, and the Samson François Prize.
In 2025, she recorded ‘Mysteria’, an album presenting a conceptual program that brings into dialogue the music of early 20th-century Eastern European composers and contemporary music.
During the 2025–2026 season, Svetlana will perform at major international festivals such as the Lille Piano Festival (France), Traiettorie (Italy), Engadin Festival (Switzerland), and Grand PianO Orléans (France). She will also tour France’s Val de Loire region with concerts and masterclasses, and make her debuts in renowned venues including the Gewandhaus (Leipzig), Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg), NDR Konzerthaus (Hanover), Robert-Schumann-Saal (Düsseldorf), Dubai Opera, and other prestigious halls in Germany and abroad.
